1. Why have people decided to Occupy Wall Street, and other financial areas in major cities the world over?
People have decided to Occupy Wall Street, and other financial areas in major cities the world over mainly because of economic inequality. The 99%, or the middle class of the whole population are having their money and rights literally taken away by the corporate authorities. Many people around the world are losing their jobs, health insurance, and economic credit. On the contrary, corporations and companies are gaining more wealth by gambling and taking away money of the middle class that is being circulating in the economy.

  1. Who might oppose those who are occupying Wall Street or demonstrating? Why are they opposing them?
The companies who are technically the "power" of this time period would oppose against these protests. It is basically similar to the scientific revolution of the European Renaissance. The authorities of the time(the church) did everything to block and stop access to information that would go against their ideas and purposes. Here, the companies with the money of the middle class people try to stop people from knowing that they are messing with their money and stopping people from getting access to information about the protests.
